This episode originally aired as Episode 143 on May 7, 2018.

After two decades, Lee Rosen figured out how to own a lucrative law firm without having to work in his firm 24/7/365. One he realized he could be the owner, not the practitioner, Lee found a team to run the business and then sold it. Now, he travels full-time while teaching other lawyers how they can build their practices into sellable businesses.

Lee joins former host, Karima Gulick, in this episode to share how he built a lucrative firm, how he set up his systems that eventually helped him expand his business, and how you can build a solid business that allows you to work from anywhere.

No, your LinkedIn profile should not just be a replica of your resume. While LinkedIn used to be the most boring of all the social media platforms, it has evolved over the years. It is now a place where lawyers and other professionals gather to connect, engage, and do business.

Joining me to share her insight on how to bring your LinkedIn profile and engagement to life is digital and social media marketing consultant and teacher working with lawyers, law firms, and legal marketers, Nancy Myrland of Myrland Marketing.

Sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace occur more frequently than one would think. For many lawyers who find themselves victims of sexual harassment and assault, it can be difficult to speak up or seek the necessary help, especially in the workplace. They suffer in silence out of fear that speaking up will cause too much damage to their careers or that their reports won’t be taken seriously.

Joining me to shed light on sexual harassment, bullying, and what law firms should be doing to end workplace harassment is Lauren Rikleen, Founder and President of the Rikleen Institute for Strategic Leadership.  She is the author of the new book:  The Shield of Silence: How Power Perpetuates a Culture of Harassment and Bullying in the Workplace.

Lauren speaks, trains, and consults on a variety of issues relating to workplace culture including women’s leadership and retention, unconscious bias, multi-generational teams, and negative workplace conduct including sexual harassment.
