Libby Jamison is an attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs based in Washington, D.C.; previously, she managed her own firm focused on business and family law and served as Of Counsel to a firm in Claremont, CA.  She also currently serves as the president of the Military Spouse JD Network, a bar association serving over 1,200 military spouse attorneys and law students. Libby volunteers with the Junior League of Washington and Hire Heroes USA. In 2015, she was named as the AFI Military Spouse of the Year for Naval Station Newport and recognized with the Mary Reding Smith Excellence in Leadership Award. Libby is admitted to practice in California, Washington State, and before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Nicole Abboud started the Gen Why Lawyer Podcast 3 years ago.  To celebrate the 3-year anniversary, I interviewed Nicole about how the podcast idea came about, how she started it and the main lessons she’s learned in the past few years.  Nicole is a business owner, Millennial speaker, adjunct college professor, attorney, and podcaster. Andrea Bird, a founding attorney at Bird Law Group, shares her story about how she became a leader in the cannabis law field, a new and ever changing area of the law, going from Big law to starting her own practice, how she managed to have a thriving practice in the span of a few months and her pro bono cases where, changed her client’s life, and set legal precedent ensuring that she helps others in the same situation.  A lot of us go to law school wanting to help other and change the laws – Andrea managed to do that in her practice.
